Hi, i am Lars My photographic roots are in beauty and fashion photography. But my heart has always been in storytelling wedding photography. I love those special moments and the feelings between bride and groom. I do not just shoot a wedding - I try to capture creative and meaningful wedding photos that bring bridal couples back to their emotions of their wedding day, even years later. I do not just photographically determine what it looks like, but what it feels like. Cologne in Germany is my home base, but I'm traveling all over the world to tell wedding stories. I would like to be with you and be your wedding photographer wherever you choose to celebrate your celebration!
Iceland is one of the most charismatic countries on earth. This jungle of nature, color and light is just the paradise for me as a photographer. Weddings in this country are the absolute highlight. The contrast between a bride and this grandiose landscape is just fantastic. But it was so f***cold, that the bride didn't really had fun after a hour of shooting :-)
I think the contrast between a dilapidated, vanishing location is very inspiring for many photographers. On the one hand something slowly passes - on the other hand something new is emerging: a young family and everything that grows out of it. These opposites always give wedding pictures a little story.
How mean the groom's friends can be can be seen here. Ok, I helped a bit but the idea actually came from one of the friends.
An old factory near the party location was the location for the bridal couple shoot. Unfortunately it rained that day and only little light was available. I found this armchair in a corner and found these lighting conditions in another room. Since I never really use lightning to capture the real situation, it took a few tries to get this picture. But i love it - and i hope you love it too.
I love it when bridal couples sometimes take more difficult photos. Now one wonders what was so difficult about it ?! OK. The access to the pasture was secured with barbed wire. The bride is afraid of cows, and a wedding dress doesn't really get along with what cows leave behind in a pasture. :-) Still, both of them managed it wonderfully.
Minimalist locations always have a special charisma for me - it's always about the couple. In this case it was the stairway to the bell tower of a church. You could also say: stairway to heaven.
Take off into the clouds with happiness. The friends had no mercy on the bridegroom and made him look frighteningly high. Sometimes I also got scared because the "safety net" was very sketchy. But we all survived and ist was definitely a lot of fun.
This couple has a close connection to their homeland, whose flagship is huge fields of water lilies. The two love water lilies - their daughter is also named after a variety. With my drone I was able to give both of them such a picture.
This wonderful moment was taken in Dubai, a few seconds before the bride stepped onto the wedding stage. She told me that she hardly noticed anything except her heart, which was beating up her throat. Wonderful words for a wonderful moment.
Ayleen and Max were civilly married in Germany. The church wedding took place in Flims, Switzerland. We were able to take this picture just in time, before the sun disappeared behind a fantastich mountain formation.
