Hi, i am Lars My photographic roots are in beauty and fashion photography. But my heart has always been in storytelling wedding photography. I love those special moments and the feelings between bride and groom. I do not just shoot a wedding - I try to capture creative and meaningful wedding photos that bring bridal couples back to their emotions of their wedding day, even years later. I do not just photographically determine what it looks like, but what it feels like. Cologne in Germany is my home base, but I'm traveling all over the world to tell wedding stories. I would like to be with you and be your wedding photographer wherever you choose to celebrate your celebration!
This picture was taken during a wedding in Malta. The location is a stairway crossing a street. The bride had just come from the hairdresser and make-up artist and before long detours by car she took the shortcut to getting ready. I really love this special moments. This is real life. This is unadornet reportage.
Something wonderful about a wedding is, that no matter what happens, the good mood and happiness of a couple is not clouded by anything. Not even with a heavy rain shower during the bridal couple shooting. The groom has to help out spontaneously so that the bride can step up her legs. The absolutly right moment to take picture.
Corona prevents a lot. For example, celebrating in various locations. But some things are still possible, for example, partying in your own garden. And when the wedding couple finally appeared, they were duly celebrated.
I was allowed to photograph this wonderful bride in a castle-like villa in the middle of Cologne. The graceful atmosphere of this building was impressive. This bride with her wonderful wedding dress was like something out of a fairy tale book. Even if it was a really hectic Getting Ready, we were able to use a tiny, quiet moment in front of this huge window to take this photo.
If you get married in the Corona period, then please with sunshine. And the two deserve it; they already had to postpone their wedding due to Corona. Monica is pregnant and the weather was kind to both of them at the last possible appointment before the birth.
This wonderful fountain is in the Mediapark Cologne. When I said that taking this shape with a drone would be a great picture, the bride didn't hesitate and stood in the center and danced. Usually there are a lot of people there, but in this case you can be grateful to Corona.
In today's Corona era, keeping your distance means everything. Unfortunately, and it really makes me very sad when a wedding can only be celebrated with distance instead of deep hugs. But this is storytelling - documenting the moments as they really happen.
When Cologne football fans celebrate their wedding, the location must of course be near the 1. FC Köln stadium. With a few flares and loud roars, they "stormed" towards the stadium and had a lot of fun doing it.
That should interest every man - what kind of garter the bride wears. And then when the bride grants a glimpse, the men stand by, quite ashamed, and risk a glimpse.
Love makes time standstill. In the middle of the city center of Aachen, this wedding couple lets time standstill. No matter what happens around them - nothing can distract their love. Maybe another form of lockdown.
