Red is the color of love. I wanted to photograph the couple in front of a building that's part of a castle. Using a flash behind the couple, equipped with a red gel, I gave the background a red tint, and I also manually dimmed the ambient light a bit.
A wedding in Provence (France), the blue hour, a couple who really wanted to spray champagne, and a few flashes and the picture was complete.
Sometimes everything just works: the couple, the location, the light… and in this case, that iconic Cadillac. With a touch of creativity and the perfect flash, this romantic scene was brought to life—and awarded a Wedwar Award. A memory that shines not only in their hearts, but now also in the photography world.
I saw these two men walking towards me with their partner's bag, so I had to snap a photo quickly. When they saw me, a smile spontaneously spread across their faces, making the image even better.
An old school bus is always a fun background, but when everyone is in a party mood and makes a fun move at the photographer's request, it gets even better.
When I saw these special bar stools in the retro cafe I thought it would be fun to have the couple sit on them, making the legs of the bar stool look exactly like the legs of the couple.
As they came out of church the newly married couple were treated to a rain of rice. I had to react very quickly to capture it in the right composition.
So pleased that I was able to capture the emotion of the groom and a few other ladies on the left of the photo in 1 image.
When they come with the wedding cake I am always curious about what is going to happen and ready to take the right pictures and the amazement on the faces of these 3 children was a blessing.
This Volkswagen van was ideal and the couple also enjoyed having some fun.
